4 Personal Development Hacks To Improve Yourself
Action these 4 hacks into your life, so that you can boost your personal development. These personal development hacks are easy to do and can help you make a real, positive difference in your life.

Step 1 – Make A Personal Development Plan
The legend that was Napoleon Hill said it, and he was completely right. You can’t achieve anything without a set plan. Without a plan, you will be running everywhere and not getting anywhere fast. With a plan, you have structure and direction. You know what you need to do and when to do it.
So what are the best ways to create a plan? Well, there are many different ways to develop a plan. But it has to be a plan that works well for you. Here are a few examples to get you started:
- Trello
Trello is a versatile tool that anybody can use to organise themselves. All you have to do is create a simple board with cards and tasks to keep yourself on track. Trello also has a free version that covers everything you need. So you don’t need to spend lots of money getting your plan set up. Here is a YouTube video that shows you how to use Trello.
- Use A Motivation Coach
You can work together with a motivational coach. Personal development coaching can help you to find your “stumbling blocks”. You will also have somebody who holds you accountable every week to be sure you will reach your goals. You can also learn how to use little “baby steps” to help you achieve more in your life.
- Clever Fox Planner
I bought Clever Fox Planner last year and was surprised how useful it was. I wrote a few articles and made a few YouTube videos to show how it works in practice. You can find the first guide to the Clever Fox planner here and the monthly review of Clever Fox Planner on The Leslie Link’s YouTube Channel.

Step 2 – Tell Your Family and Friends
You can set the best plan in the whole world, but sometimes our family and friends can “accidentally” ruin it for us. Have you ever experienced that situation when you have told me something you will do, and they seem shocked? Moments like this might put you off, but it is important to remain strong.
Your family and friends are not your enemies.
You might be further down the personal development path than they are. So when you come out with your plan, and you tell your family or friends what you will do, it might all seem a bit “far-fetched” or downright overly ambitious. Don’t worry about it. Stick with the plan because it will work.
You don’t have to justify what you are doing in your life to better yourself. But at the same time, don’t be afraid to tell your family and friends. As you develop and use the personal development hacks, you will improve yourself and change.
Your positive changes won’t seem so radical if you give the people close to you a heads up.
You will find that most people will be supportive. Also, when some aren’t, don’t let it deter you and keep going.

Step 3 – Become a Positivity Champion
When you think and talk positively, it can make you feel optimistic. You act calmly and can enjoy excellent relationships with others. You don’t have to become a “Pollyanna”. But thinking positive can make you feel better as a person. You can also attract others to you with your positive, bright outlook.
Everybody wants to have a piece of you.
On the other hand, when you think negatively, you can see the knock-on effects everywhere. You have days where everything seems to go wrong. Negative situations and people seem to appear from everywhere.
It’s not just your thoughts and interactions with people that are affected by your feelings. Your body can suffer positively to negatively as well. So to make sure you are giving your body and mind the best support, become a positivity champion.
You don’t need to be walking around with a permanent smile on your face. But you can try to embrace the day, every day, whatever comes your way.

Step 4 – Give Without Expecting Anything In Return
If you want to improve yourself as a person, don’t forget to give to others. This sentence might seem a bit strange if the article is about improving yourself. But the simple act of giving to somebody else is potent.
We sometimes expect an “equal exchange” when we interact with people.
But if you can change your mindset to giving things to people without expecting something in return, beautiful things start happening. If this sounds too good to be true, give it a go. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
The act of giving is rewarding in itself.
It can be anything. You hold the door for somebody struggling with a pram. You notice something on somebody’s website that needs to be changed. Somebody looks stressed, and you give that person a reassuring smile. It can be the simplest of things, but it can mean the world to that other person.
When you give others willingly, expecting nothing, you can feel satisfied inside knowing that you have helped somebody.
Takeaways To Mull Over
Improving yourself is a worthwhile cause. It doesn’t matter if it takes time and sometimes even years. Slow progress is better than no progress. Remember to create a plan to help you get there, or you will get lost. Share your dreams and aspirations with your family and friends. Look upon the world in a positive slant and try to keep it going each day. Also, remember to look after others and share the love without expecting anything back. Personal development is achievable for anybody, and it doesn’t matter who you are. You only need to begin!
