According to the Psychology Spot, a comfort zone is “a safe space where we don’t risk, but neither do we grow…”.
When you read it like that, it can almost seem a little bit boring! So, why do we decide to stay in our comfort zone and not push ourselves? Because it is easy and familiar! We feel so comfortable there is no need to change anything.
Why Should You Move Outside Your Comfort Zone?
But in order to progress in life, we need to do something different. If we do the same thing over and over and again, we will have the same results. This familiarity can be comforting. But if we want to grow, we need to be willing to change.
So, how do we push ourselves to make that first move and step out into the unknown?
It can be scary and cause a lot of fear. But there are so many benefits, it is worth taking the risk.
Here are some of the amazing benefits that you can look forward to:-

How Can You Move Outside Your Comfort Zone?
So, you are ready to make the first step and go for it! What can you do? Luckily, there are hundreds of ways you can make a change in your life. You can step outside your comfort zone right now.
I am sure you have an idea of what want to do. You may have to build yourself up to it. But, however you get there, there is no need to stress about it. The only thing that is important … is that you do it.
Here are some examples to give you inspiration:-
- Read a book in a genre you have never read before. Challenge yourself to think differently.
- Join a new exercise class/group by yourself.
- Make a list of challenges that scare you and aim to complete one every month.
- Start conversations with new people in different settings.
- Go to a networking event.
- Learn a new language and use it.
- Work with a Life Coach and find out more about yourself.
- Try new roles at work.
- Do some voluntary work.
- Go to a new location in your city/town/village.
- Learn a new skill.
Anything Is Possible…
