If you decide to motivate yourself, you can achieve amazing things. You can reach goals that may have seemed distant or impossible. Working on your personal development needs to be a focus in your life. Using motivation can be the key to your success…again and again.
We all have to start somewhere. And if you are not naturally motivated you may need to dig deep within yourself to find it. But, like LβOrΓ©al said, “You are worth it!”

Motivate Yourself – What Do You Want?
You need to be clear about what you want. Because when you know what you want, you can then motivate yourself.

Different Areas Of Your Life
Here are a few examples for you to have a think about:-
- Relationships – current ones and future ones. Are your current relationships with your family and friends the best they can be? If you can honestly say they could be better, write down what you would like to improve and the reason why. What about future relationships? Think about new friends or partners. Learn from the past and think about the “type” of people that you would like in your future life. Feel motivated to start making choices that benefit you.
- Career – What is the current state of your career? What would you like to do in the future? Think about these questions carefully. Having a rewarding career can affect other areas of your life in positive ways. If you are not happy, now is the time to use that motivation and do something about it. If you have to learn something new or retrain, here are some tips to keep you motivated to study!
- Health – Are you happy with your current health? Could it be better? Motivate yourself to keep your body in tip-top condition. You do not have to be an Olympic athlete π Keeping your body fit and healthy can help you live a happy and long life. Check out this BMI Calculator from SparkPeople to see where you are currently at. These two articles can help you find the motivation to lose weight and the motivation to workout!
Motivate Yourself – No Drama
Isn’t that the dream? To have a happy life with no drama π Can it be a reality?

Yes, it can. Your life is what you make it.
You are in control of your reactions to everything. Feel motivated and go ahead and assess your life.
Be honest with yourself. Are there people, situations or things that cause drama in your life? If the answer is yes, now is the time to do something about it. You have 2 options, change it or leave it. Decide what is the best option for you.
Motivate Yourself – Take Action
1. Write It Down
We covered a lot of different areas above. Make sure that you sit down, grab that pen and paper and make a note of everything that came to mind.
When you read something, are you really taking it all in?
Make sure that you do write down some notes for the areas that we covered above. I am not repeating myself; I am demonstrating how important it is. Seeing something written down can make it more “real” and will motivate you to take action.
2. Create A Plan
You need to have a plan, to achieve any goal.
A plan keeps you on track. You can refer to your plan at any stage. Your plan does not have to be complicated. It is best to keep it as simple as you can.
If you would like some help creating a plan, message me here and we can discuss what you would like to do and how I can help you.
3. Setting Realistic Goals
Whatever your goal is, it needs to be realistic. If you are 80 years old and are thinking of becoming a doctor, it may be too late for your new career π
Create a goal that pushes you. You may lose interest if the goal is too simple.
You should be able to break it down into little “chunks”. This will make it easier for you.
And Repeat…
Nothing Can Stop You Now!
Imagine that you have achieved your goal. Nothing can stop you now. Take the momentum and use that with your motivation. Think about your next goal and repeat π
