You can read an article that gives you ideas, and then read another article that gives you even more ideas. But when you have to manage your personal development, it can sometimes feel chaotic.
In the end, you have so many ideas you end up starting and stopping several and maybe only completing a few.
There are many reasons for this dilemma. But here are a few points to note so you can break through the chaos.
The Devil Called Procrastination

Procrastination.
It truly is a little devil. Everybody procrastinates, and those that say they don’t need to be honest with themselves.
It doesn’t matter if you feel the procrastination mindset kick in. Embrace it. Say “Hi!” to it.
We can all plan and organise our lives, but there will be times when we just don’t feel like it.
That is 100% fine.
Analyse why you feel like this. Is it something you do not want to do? Check if it is important.
If it isn’t, consider not doing it at all. Remove it from your life.
If it is important, then this is your cue to take a break. You can then come back firing on all cylinders, ready to go.
Try it.
Remember, everything happens for a reason; you just need to understand why.
Create A Life That Fits

Next time you manage your personal development, think about the type of person you are.
The person you are now and the one you want to be six months from now.
Are they the same person? Of course, they are not.
“You cannot dream yourself into a character; you must hammer and forge yourself one.”
Henry David Thoreau
Pick the courses that mean something to you. Look for jobs that match you. Connect with people like you.
Go and create a life that fits you.
But make sure you stick to it and keep going. You will get there. It is no problem if it takes you years.
Who is counting?
It Is Your Life

It certainly is.
Sometimes we can forget this when we listen to our family and friends. Don’t forget, they all mean well. So never reject their advice.
But at the end of the day, it is your life. Remember this always.
If you live a life that isn’t yours, you will never feel at ease. Swear to yourself to live a life that is genuinely you. After all, you are unique.
And just like the quote below. If you don’t like it, you can edit it. You are in control of your story.
“Your life is your story. Write it well. Edit often.”
Anonymous
Conclusion
There are hundreds of ways you can manage your personal development. But the most important thing is that you remember it is for you.
Don’t be hard on yourself.
We are living through unusual times, and as we learn to live in this new world, we will all need to change.
Take time out if you need it. Think about who you are and create a life that makes your heart truly sing.
